On Friday, February 11, Austin Commercial, a member of Associated Builders & Contractors of Greater Houston (ABC), had the pleasure of hosting the University of Houston ABC Student Chapter for a tour of their John M. O’Quinn Law Building Project.
“Students had an opportunity to learn about the project, as well as the processes and procedures that are critical to our success,” said Bill Brown, Senior Project Manager at Austin Commercial. “They also experienced a unique opportunity to walk the project and tour the building, getting a first-hand experience to see our values and our daily activities in motion.”
We were highly impressed with the professionalism of the chapter, its mission, and commitment to the market and communities that they serve.

The mission of the ABC Student Chapter is to promote excellence in construction education, training, and practice. The UH ABC Student Chapter is a special interest organization located in the College of Technology. ABC strives to integrate the construction industry and academia in an environment that will allow the builders of tomorrow to master the art of construction. ABC will work to establish channels of communication with any organization or company that seeks to bridge together students and professionals. ABC is symbolic of a strong foundation of elite students promoting construction management within the scope of Houston and regions beyond.
“The ABC Student Chapter at UH is a model and standard for students not only furthering their education, but is also a model for starting the process towards a rewarding career in construction,” continues Brown. “We were highly impressed with the professionalism of the chapter, its mission, and its commitment to the market and the communities that they serve.”
