CMEF receives generous donation of electrical equipment for training program
RUS Industrial recently donated more than $150,000 worth of electrical materials to Construction and Maintenance Education Foundation (CMEF) as a show of support to craft training and electrical education.
According to Vice President Kevin Laird, RUS Industrial chose CMEF for their hefty donation to assist in the development of training programs. This generous donation will expand CMEF’s ability to provide electrical training and certifications.
“The advanced electrical equipment will allow CMEF students access to top-of-the-line training equipment in their craft. With this donation we can begin offering advanced electrical education courses, which is critical in our efforts in training a safe, sustainable workforce,” CMEF Training Manager Blair Williamson said.
“Since employee retention is critical in our industry, it is important to offer our employees the benefit of training. To do that, we give back by paying for their continued education programs. Providing those classes and certifications has been a simple process with what CMEF has in place for our industry,“ Laird said.
Founded in 1994, RUS Industrial is a turn-key provider of electrical and fabrication products and services for industrial, oilfield and energy customers world wide. CMEF offers companies like RUS Industrial the opportunity to train and certify their employees without having to create an education program in-house. With training consistently evolving, Laird said, RUS industrial will still benefit from CMEF’s wide range of education opportunities.
“Training is one of the cornerstones of workforce development, and RUS Industrial has made the commitment to education with their donation. The Foundation greatly appreciates the generous donation of materials,” Williamson said.
