HOUSTON – Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston (ABC), an association representing the interests of merit shop contractors and their employees, is pleased to announce the launch of two websites focuses on the November elections, ABCVotes.com for members and their management teams, and WeBuildAmerica.com for all employees.

Construction has been and continues to be a significant contributor to economic development and prosperity in America. From public projects like hospitals, schools, roads and bridges to recreational venues like sports arenas and shopping malls, the commercial and industrial construction industry is the backbone of America’s infrastructure. Construction also plays an important role in the progress of our nation by improving and building the places where we live, work, and play.

Every day, lawmakers at the federal, state, and local levels of government consider policy proposals on labor relations, procurement, workforce development, infrastructure and other issues that affect the construction industry. Because of this, it’s critically important to be engaged and informed on key issues when heading to the ballot box this November. Some of the issues that ABC supports include workforce development, fair and open competition, tax policy, election law, immigration, and federal contracting.
