HOUSTON – Congressman John Culberson accepted the endorsement of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) today after a tour of a construction site in Houston.
“Members of ABC are building Houston’s future, and I’m honored to have its support as we work together to improve the quality of life for people living in Houston and Harris County,” Congressman Culberson said. “Houston’s economy is boo
ming thanks to the Republican tax cuts and deregulation, and as the economy grows, so do our communities and neighborhoods. It’s vitally important to have skilled construction workers, like those that ABC members support, to assist in that development.”
“Associated Builders and Contractors is proud to announce the endorsement of Congressman John Culberson,” ABC Houston President Russell Hamley said. “The Congressman has been a strong ally of merit shop contractors, as evidenced by his support of legislation like the Fair and Open Competition Act. His support of craft training programs and workforce development initiatives has helped ABC advance the mission to advocate for careers in construction, making a career in the skilled trades appealing for the next generation.”
Congressman Culberson was joined by 2018 ABC PAC Chairman Dale Kornegay at today’s event. They toured the construction site of a new medical office building, which is being developed by Burton Construction.
