ABC/CMEF is Pleased with the 2018 Texas State Primary Election Results of Endorsed Candidates

HOUSTON – Associated Builders and Contractors of Greater Houston (ABC), an association representing the interests of merit shop contractors and their employees, is pleased to report the results of the 2018 Texas State Primary Election that was endorsed by the Political Action Committee (PAC).

Before the final decision to endorse the selected candidates was announced, the PAC invited the candidates to attend a screening at a monthly PAC meeting and complete a questionnaire that assesses their campaign and political views as they pertain to key ABC issues. During the screening, the PAC members are open to question the candidate to find out more about them. Following the meeting, the PAC elected to endorse the candidates. From the thirty-three endorsed candidates, thirty-two were elected, resulting in a ninety-six percent win rate.

“We are pleased with the overall turnout of this election,” said Brandon Mabile, Business Development at Performance Contractors, and a member of PAC. “We need elected officials who support free enterprise and the merit shop philosophy, which are core ABC/CMEF values. We are looking forward to seeing the results these key political leaders will bring to the construction industry.”
